Spanning approximately 3190 hectares, this significant property is home to an abundant population of wildlife. Antelope roam the flat country and the mule deer seem to always find a home in the south. The deep arroyo that cuts through the ranch is where an occasional elk chased out of the mountains above can be found.

Trinidad’s historic municipal golf course with grand views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains is in a wooded setting overlooking the town.
Trinidad’s museums encapsulate the rich legacy from prehistoric creatures and cultures, early western art, and Old West lifestyles. In the tradition of an Old West center of trade on the Santa Fe Trail, Trinidad’s shops and galleries offer an array of goods: Native American crafts, jewelry, clothing, home decor, antiques, and sports equipment & apparel. Galleries in the National Historic District showcase works by regional and international artists. On summer Saturdays, Farmers’ Market vendors sell fresh produce and crafts. To the west of Trinidad is lake country. A distinctive feature of this Highway of Legends region is huge dikes that radiate like spokes of a wheel from the ancient Spanish Peaks. The Sangre de Cristos march along the horizon.
The area is superb for easy access to fishing, boating, swimming, water skiing, wind surfing, camping, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and wildlife watching. Those who want demanding adventure follow trails to the mountain peaks and choose the four-wheel-drive backroads. Afternoon rains in summer freshen the forests of pine, spruce, cedar, and aspen. Autumn on the Highway of Legends is a wash of gold when the aspen leaves turn.
